How was Shillong Teer legalized?
The legalisation of Shillong Teer was legally formalized under the Meghalaya Amusement and Betting Tax Act of 1982, with the State government in the forefront to regulate the game. Captain Williamson A. Sangma, the then Chief Minister of Meghalaya, played a crucial role in leading the legal process.
